BIOGRAPHY

Raised on a farm in Ontario, Joyce Crago obtained a degree in textiles (1965), and moved to New York City to work in the fashion industry. Motivated by her desire to understand injustices, she left fashion to study law at the University of Toronto Law School (1993). In 2014 she returned to her creative roots by pursuing photography at the School of Photographic Arts: Ottawa. She has since expanded her practice to include performance, video, sculpture, and installation. Her work was recently featured in the CONTACT Photography Festival, and her works are included in the City of Ottawa collection.
